My name is Amelia Lazouras —>
(pronounced like the pit Ra’s al Ghul’s so obsessed with)
Story heavy games have been my life blood since I was old enough to play them. I grew up watching the developmental process through my family’s work in games, and of course playing the classics - Legend of Zelda, Spyro, Harvest Moon and the like. Then I finished playing Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1 for the first time at 12 years old. Seeing these characters, who’s stories gave me a greater sense of belonging than most people in my life, struggle against the unfathomable while still maintaining their humanity, was like nothing I’d ever experienced. I cried my eyes out, I cursed the game for breaking my heart, and I couldn’t look at my computer for days after.
So, naturally, I knew that writing narrative-driven games able to make others feel and relate so strongly was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
What’s been happening since?
I worked as a Freelance QA Tester for Ancient Machine Games, and contributed to game flow, design solutions and narrative structure.

I worked as a voice actor for both main characters in Behavior Interactive’s Geminose: Animal Popstars.
(Feb 2018)
I graduated with a First Class Honours BA degree in Games Design and Development from London South Bank University, with a knack for Narrative Design and 2D Art/Animation.
(Sept 2020 - May 2023)
I returned to Ancient Machine Games as both Line Producer and Lead QA Tester, managing meetings and design checks on top of testing.
(June 2024 - Present)
I freelanced as the sole Lead QA Tester for GN3RA Digital Fashion, managing bugs and curating reports, and trained future testers with my report structure.
(June 2023 - Sept 2023)
What’s next?
I studied Game Narrative Design under Adam Miller (Insomniac Games). and am continuing with further mentoring as I write my first solo game (yay!)
